Erin Vogt, LCSW, has worked as a clinician since 2000. Her concentration is older adults, adults who have a chronic illness or disability, and their loved ones. Erin utilizes a client-centered approach to therapy, with a belief that people know themselves the best. When working with clients, the client is in charge of healing. Erin uses a collaborative, supportive style to address the emotional needs of her clients during times of change, stress, and loss.
Erin’s vast clinical experience includes palliative care, adult protective services, hospital-based care management, client services in an elder law firm, and psychotherapy. She has a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership. She also earned certifications in Palliative Care and Care Management. Aside from her clinical work, Erin has been an adjunct professor in three universities, teaching courses for the Human Services, Health Care Management, and Criminal Justice departments.
Erins’ strength-based psychotherapy approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as Anticipatory Grief and Grief Therapy. In treating Grief, Depression, Anxiety, Compassion Fatigue, Caregiver Burnout, and life-stage issues, Erin also incorporates Mindfulness Training and unique relaxation techniques.
